Cylindrical Glulam
Large cylindrical glulam is an innovative construction material widely used in building, furniture, and decorative fields. Processing large cylindrical glulam involves cutting, grinding, joining, and gluing wood to form a cylindrical shape. The process includes several steps:
First, select high-quality veneer such as pine, camphor, or beech wood, ensuring strength and stability. Then, use a rotary cutter to slice the wood into continuous thin sheets, enhancing flexibility and plasticity. Next, boil the sheets at approximately 100°C for several hours to remove resin and moisture, improving stability and durability. The sheets are then glued into a cylindrical shape using phenolic or urea-formaldehyde adhesive, with controlled pressure to ensure quality. Finally, shape and trim the glued material, and apply finishing touches like painting or sanding to enhance surface smoothness and appearance.
